Packing Essentials: London Getaway

In honor of this week’s big baby news, I thought we’d take a little virtual getaway to London this week. While I usually gravitate toward clean, modern spaces, I was instantly attracted to the vintage glamour of No. 11 Cadogan Gardens Hotel.

The hotel was originally built in the late 19th century by Lord Chelsea on cricket grounds between Buckingham Palace and Harrods in Knightsbridge. It also happens to be perfectly-positioned right in the heart of Sloane Street, one of London’s premier shopping districts. Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Tiffany’s and Harvey Nichols are all just a short walk from the hotel! Continue reading →

Destination Inspiration: PuLi Hotel + Spa

It’s no surprise the PuLi Hotel + Spa in Shanghai has won multiple design awards from Travel + Leisure and other travel publications. From the moment you enter the lobby, you’re enveloped in a luxurious yet serene setting with floor to ceiling views of the surrounding park. I was particularly inspired by the repeating design elements of the architecture and the glazed reflection of the trees outside on the lobby floor.
