J. Crew Bubble Necklace Replica Roundup

This necklace has been everywhere. I’m almost sick of it, almost.  I couldn’t justify dropping $150 on something so trendy – I only buy cheap jewelry for myself anyway – leave the nice stuff to my husband :)

There are a ton of replicas out there for much more wallet friendly prices – as in, you can buy one in every color on ebay and spend less than you would on 1 necklace at j.crew. I researched for awhile before buying one myself so hopefully this saves someone else the hassle…

BaubleBar ($38) – search for princesse and there are a few colors – most currently have a wait list.

Cheerfully Charmed ($39 each or buy 2 get 1 free)

Ebay (price ranges) – search for J. Crew bubble necklace and there are a ton of options under $20. The cheapest options all come from China but you can sort by sellers in the US. Also, there’s always buy it now options for those who don’t want to deal with the hassle of bidding.

Etsy (price ranges) – search for J. Crew bubble necklace and there are a ton of options under $40. For faster shipping, sort by sellers in the US.

Jewel IQ ($25) – search for baubles and there are several colors. Note that these necklaces are slightly different and shorter than J. Crew’s version (but may look even better on petites!)

Shop Sosie ($39) – search for cambria and there are a few color options.

There are probably other places to find the necklace but these are the ones that I (or someone I know or someone who has a blog that I trust) have purchased from. If you know of any other places, let us know in the comments!

Etsy Find Friday: Jill Rosenwald Studio

I have quite a random assortment of  dishes in my kitchen – IKEA dishes from my college years, dishes acquired from my sister/former roommate after she got married, dishes purchased on whim because I’m a sucker for target sales… one day I’ll have real grown-up dishes (isn’t that what wedding registries are for anyway?), but for now I’d rather spend my money on dresses/shoes/weekends in NYC!

So when I came across Jill Rosenwald’s Etsy shop and I was surprised I had the urge to stock up on plates, bowls and caviar trays… caviar trays?! Why would I need one of those… because they’re pretty, that’s why!

Bee Bowl in Perla, various bowls in Exeter Link pattern including Ice Cream Bowls and Vases, this fabulous Appetizer Plate in Opium Fever, Mini Cup in Outfit Cool

These hand-painted pieces are such gems don’t you think? The colors are completely delightful and I’d love to have even just a few pieces as decorative art to display in my apartment. You can read an interview with the artist here and find more of her work on her website!

Have a fabulous weekend everyone! Are you doing anything exciting? Going to Gold Cup? Watching the Derby? (confession: I’m actually terrified of horses!)

On Saturday I’m celebrating my half birthday (because I can!) and I’m hoping there will be funfetti involved :)

Etsy Find Friday: Nadinoo for Spring

This isn’t the first time I’ve featured this dress from London based clothing label Nadinoo, but what can I say? I’m a sucker for a big bows and I’m loving the feminine playfulness of so many of Nadinoo’s pieces for spring…

If only I were tall and leggy, I would definitely rock the Pixie’s Silk Petal Blouse and Print Shorts – with nude heels of course! I purchased Kate Spade Glenda heels a couple weeks ago and they are sure to be spring/summer shoe staple.

Fleur’s Petal Dress might actually have to find its way into my closet… the print is super pretty close up and though it’s fairly mini on the model I think it would suit my 5ft frame pretty well. Plus I really really love pockets!

The retro silhouette is fairly simple on Pixie’s Candy Mini, but the subtle detailing of the round collar, self-tied bow, and pleating are just so sweet – though I’d love to pair it with more modern platform mary janes (OBSESSED with these – could Miu Miu just stop now please?! I need these and these and these... oh and these!)

Happy Weekend!
