I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend! There’s something about Memorial Day that seems to mark the official beginning of summer – probably the fact that it’s the weekend rooftop pools open in DC :) I’m ready for long nights, backyard barbecues and of course, vacation! Just 2 more weeks until I’m headed to the Philippines and I can’t wait…

But until then, there’s sale season to keep me busy! (not sure if that’s a good thing anymore…) It seems like every retailer is having a sale this weekend and I don’t know about you but I’m having a horrible time trying to resist ;) In an effort to talk myself out of buying things, I took a moment to assess my closet and it turns out – I could pretty much categorize the things I wear during the week into 2 outfits (or some combination of the 2):

Of course there are some variations but 5/6 days a week I’m probably in some iteration of these “uniforms” – sure I have other things in my closet, but when it comes to actually getting dressed these are the things that I reach for – these are the things that the most mileage and thus have the lowest cost/per wear – so it’s ok to buy more, right?
